Kristin Dorney Foley is an Associate of Stevens, Carroll & Carveth. She received her Juris Doctor Degree from Boston College Law School in 1986 and Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude, in American Studies from Middlebury College in 1983. She is admitted to the bar of the State of Connecticut, of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and of the United States District Court for the Districts of Connecticut and Massachusetts. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Attorney Foley practices in the areas of real estate, condominium law, workers’ compensation, general litigation and probate. Her experience includes the closing of commercial and residential transactions and preparation of condominium documents for various projects, including senior and affordable housing projects. Workers’ compensation matters have included handling of Formal hearings and Compensation Review Board and Appellate arguments. Litigation matters have included mechanic’s liens, foreclosures, summary process and contracts.
She served as the Editor in Chief of the Workers’ Compensation Quarterly, a publication of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, from 1999 to 2001, as well as serving as a member of the Board of Editors of the Compensation Quarterly from 1996 to 2001. She has also been an Editor-At-Large for the Connecticut Bar Journal from 1996 to 2001. She has been a past teacher in the National Academy for Paralegal Studies in New Haven. Active in community affairs, Attorney Foley served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Milford and as an Executive Committee member from 1994 to 1999. She has served as a Board Member for the Milford Mental Health Clinic, now called Bridges, from 1989 to 1996 and served as Vice President.
